Check the complete packaging combination before volume orders

Choose bottles, caps, pouches and labels as a working pack, then confirm the individual components. For a bottle and closure, provide the complete neck-finish specification and intended seal; a nominal diameter alone does not establish compatibility. Include the product, filling conditions and dispensing requirement so Stockpack can review the enquiry against the proposed packaging combination.

Request representative samples for the checks that matter to your application. Assess closure fit, leakage, label position and the way the filled pack is stored and handled. A pouch enquiry should identify whether filling is through an open top or a spout, together with the proposed sealing or capping method. Where packaging will touch food, confirm the intended use and request the relevant food-contact material information.

Plan the supply details before ordering a production quantity. State the required number of each component, colour or artwork variant, delivery date and any packaging specification that must stay consistent on repeat orders. Separate confirmed requirements from alternatives still being considered. Stockpack quotes products individually, so include the full pack combination and ask the team to confirm suitability, availability and lead time for the actual order.

Will any cap of the same diameter fit my bottle?

No. The complete neck finish, thread and sealing arrangement must match the closure. Supply the bottle and cap specifications or samples so the proposed combination can be checked.

What should I include when asking for a spouted pouch quote?

Give the product, fill quantity, pouch dimensions, spout and cap details, filling route, quantity and intended handling conditions. Include any barrier or food-contact requirements that the packaging needs to meet.

What should I check when matching a bottle and closure?

Compare the bottle neck finish with the closure specification, including any liner, dispensing feature or tamper evidence. Obtain samples of the complete pack and trial filling, closing and use with the intended product. Confirm quantities, artwork needs and current supply details before approving a packaging combination.

Specify the packaging combination, not only the individual component

Start with the complete pack you want to supply: the product, container or pouch, closure, label and any outer wrapping. Keep the component drawings and revisions together so a quotation can be understood as a defined packaging combination rather than a collection of similar-looking items.

For each component, separate the dimensions and appearance you require from properties that still need confirmation. Ask for the relevant material, compatibility and intended-use information for the particular item being quoted. A category description or photograph should not be treated as confirmation for every variant.

Use samples and a clear approval record before moving from a shortlist to an order. Record which product and packing process were used for the assessment, who approved the sample and whether any details remain open. Confirm quantity, current availability, supply format and commercial terms against the final specification rather than carrying assumptions forward from an earlier enquiry.

Component identity
Keep item references, drawings and approved samples linked to the same packaging brief.
Process fit
Describe the filling, closing, labelling and handling steps the packaging must pass through.
Order confirmation
Ask for any agreed deviations or substitutions to be identified explicitly before acceptance.

Does matching the nominal size confirm that two components work together?

Use nominal size as a starting reference. Ask for the relevant drawings and a sample assessment of the exact combination, including the product, closing method and packing process you intend to use.
